Abstract

Under the PISCEES SciDAC project, we are developing an unstructured grid finite element dynamical core for incorporation as the Land Ice component in ACME. This velocity solver makes very heavy use of math libraries from the Trilinos suite of computational science tools; including linear solvers, nonlinear solvers, discretization tools, automatic differentiation, and uncertainty quantification tools. The quasi-steady solver is linked to both CISM and MPAS for the advection solve and linking to the full earth system model.
