Abstract

Intensifying hazards, exposures, and vulnerabilities drive increasing climate risks. Designing strategies to manage these climate risks requires a quantitative understanding of coupled natural-human systems dynamics and the associated deep and dynamic uncertainties. Characterizing these deep uncertainties can pose nontrivial challenges. This presentation reviews challenges in characterizing the uncertainties surrounding multisector dynamics, current approaches to overcome them, and open research questions.
